WOULD का प्रयोग (Use Of
Would)
WOULD का प्रयोग भूतकाल की आदत (show the habit of past) को दर्शाने किया जाता
है अर्थात भूतकाल में कोई क्रिया हमेशा या अक्सर होती है तो इसे व्यक्त करने के लिए
WOULD का प्रयोग कर सकते हैं
उदाहरण(Example):
मैं सुबह टहलने साइकिल से जाया करता था
I would go for a walk in the morning by cycle.
जब मैं कंपनी में काम करता था तब मुझे पिज्जा बहुत पसंद था
When I was working in the company, I would eat pizza with much
interest.
जब मैं गांव में था तब नदी में नहाने मुझे बहुत रुचि थी
When I was in the village, I would bath in the river with
much interest.
अधिक संभावना (probability) व्यक्त करने के लिए WOULD का प्रयोग किया जाता है
वह पढ़ रहा होगा
उदाहरण(Example):
वह पढ़ रहा होगा
He would be reading.
आज संडे है तो ऑफिस में छुट्टी ही होगी
It is Sunday today, it
would be a leave in the office.
जैसे ही फोन की घंटी बजी मैंने कहा डेविड होगा
When the telephone rang, I said, " That would be
David".
विनती करते समय WOULD का प्रयोग Will के अधिक सभ्य रूप(polite request) में किया
जाता है
उदाहरण(Example):
क्या मेरी इंग्लिश पढ़ने में मदद करोगे
Would you help me in reading English.
क्या आप टेलीविजन की थोड़ी आवाज़ कम करोगे
Would you reduce the volume of television?
WOULD का प्रयोग इच्छा(express wish) व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है
उदाहरण(Example):
मेरी इच्छा है कि मैं एक अच्छा डॉक्टर बनूं
I wish, I would be a good doctor.
मेरी इच्छा है कि तुम एक अच्छा इंजीनियर बनो
I wish, You would be a good engineer.
WOULD का प्रयोग वर्तमान काल के भूतकाल की कोरी कल्पना(imagination) को व्यक्त
करने के लिए प्रिंसिपल क्लॉज़ में किया जाता है
उदाहरण(Example):
अगर मैं मुंबई में होता, तो मैं एक व्यापारी होता
If I were in Mumbai, I would be a businessman.
अगर मैं इंडिया टीम में होता, तो मैं कैप्टन होता
If I were in the Indian team, I would be a captain.
कई बार WOULD का प्रयोग Will के अर्थ में भी किया जाता है
उदाहरण(Example):
मुझे दिल्ली में रहना बहुत अच्छा लगेगा
I would love to live in Delhi.
तुम यह नहीं मानोगे लेकिन यह सच है
You would not believe this, but it is true.
प्राथमिकता या चुनाव दर्शाने(preference/ choice) के लिए WOULD का प्रयोग किया
जाता है
उदाहरण(Example):
वह भागने से ज्यादा मरना पसंद करेगा
He would rather die than flee.
मैं खाना बनाने से अच्छा सोना पसंद करूंगा
I would love to sleep better than cooking.
or
I would rather sleep than cook.
WOULD का प्रयोग सलाह(advice) देने के लिए भी किया जाता है
उदाहरण(Example):
मैं तुम्हें स्कूल जाने की सलाह दूंगा
I would advise to go to school.
मैं तुम्हें यह नौकरी छोड़ने की सलाह दूंगा
I would advise you to leave this job .
WOULD का प्रयोग Will के past form के रूप में इनडायरेक्ट स्पीच ( Indirect
Speech) में किया जाता है
उदाहरण(Example):
He said, " will go to school ."
He said that he would go to school.
