Eligibility Criteria for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026
Science Subject Eligibility
10+2 Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics, and English with 50% Marks in aggregate and 50% Marks in English OR
3-Year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ IT) with 50% Marks in aggregate and 50% Marks in English OR
2-Year Vocational Course with Non-Vocational Subjects (Physics and Math) with 50% Marks in aggregate and 50% Marks in English
Other Than Science Subject Eligibility
10+2 Intermediate with 50% Marks in aggregate and 50% Marks in English OR
2-Year Vocational Course with 50% Marks in aggregate and 50% Marks in English
Physical Standards
Height:
Male Candidates: Minimum 152 cm
Female Candidates: Minimum 152 cm
North East / Hilly Region (Uttarakhand) Candidates: Minimum 147 cm
Lakshadweep Candidates: Minimum 150 cm
Weight:
Should be proportionate to height and age as per IAF standards.
Chest:
Male Candidates: Minimum 77 cm, with 5 cm expansion
Female Candidates: Well-proportioned with a minimum expansion of 5 cm
Hearing:
Normal hearing, should be able to hear forced whisper from 6 meters by each ear separately.
Dental:
Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and at least 14 dental points.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
PFT-1:
Male Candidates: 1.6 Km run in 7 minutes
Female Candidates: 1.6 Km run in 8 minutes
PFT-2:
For Male Candidates:
10 Push-ups (1 Minute)
10 Sit-ups (1 Minute, after 2 min break)
20 Squats (1 Minute, after 2 min break)
For Female Candidates:
10 Sit-ups (1 Minute 30 Seconds)
20 Squats (1 Minute, after 2 min break)
Visual Standards
Visual Acuity: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye
Maximum Refractive Error:
Hypermetropia: +2.0D
Myopia: -1.0D including ± 0.50 D Astigmatism
Color Vision: CP-II
